Girls Heart Brussels

Founded by Jessica Gysel, GIRLS HEART BRUSSELS invites everyone to explore Brussels from a female, queer, trans, and non binary perspective, with a focus on its lesbian and feminist initiatives. Eclectic in taste, they highlight both the mainstream and the underground.

Wetsi Art Gallery

Space for exhibitions and artistic encounters. Its founder, Anne Wetsi Mpoma, selects universes that can be seen as counter-narratives to the erasure or invisibilisation of artists of African descent in the contemporary art world. The objectives are to build bridges between institutions and diverse audiences.

Mémoire coloniale

The collective “Mémoire Coloniale et Lutte contre les Discriminations” (CMCLD) brings together pan-African activists from Brussels, Flanders and Wallonia. It conducts in-depth and accessible research on Belgium’s colonial memory and history.

Visite Particulière

Link between LGBTQIA+ community and cultural actors in Brussels, bridge-builder between the economic, touristic and cultural sectors.

L-Tour

L-Tour organizes lesbian and rainbow tours and events to promote the history (herstory and history) of Brussels’ LGBTQI+ communities starting from Brussels, via lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and intersex people and associations.

BAMKO

(FR) Feminist centre for reflection and action on anti-Black racism.

Architecture qui dégenre

Organisers of, among others, the “Matrimony Days”. Beyond the discovery of Brussels’ female heritage, which is often overshadowed, the fundamental question of access to property ownership for women and related professions is raised. A way of looking at our institutions through gendered glasses.
