Accessibility at Museum Night Fever @Brussels Museums

20231021

Museum Night Fever is a festive and cultural event organised on 21 October 2023 by Brussels Museums asbl, the federation of museums in Brussels, to make museums more accessible to everyone.

For this 16th edition, the MNF is bringing together 33 museums that will be opening their doors between 7pm and 1am, and offering an ultra-diverse, effervescent and offbeat programme through collaborations with emerging artists. The party goes on until the early hours in the afterparties. We want everyone to be able to enjoy Museum Night Fever to the full, but we know that this can be a challenge.

That’s why we’ve embarked on a journey with Access-i and our partners to make the event as accessible as possible. Access-i has assessed the accessibility of the venues and the programme for the 7 disability groups, based on certain criteria and on information provided by the museums. We have also tried to provide as much information as possible on the website about each museum and each activity in the programme.

This approach is continuing with the creation of positions for accessibility volunteers who are aware of the different types of disability. Some museum teams will be reinforced during the evening to ensure the best possible welcome for everyone.
