CONFERENCE – MESTIZOS, FORGOTTEN CHILDREN OF COLONIZATION

This event will shed light on the fate of mixed-race children, born during colonization to Belgian fathers and Rwandan, Burundian or Congolese mothers, whose history has remained taboo for years.

Different speakers will address this theme and people from these mixed races will come and share their emotionally rich testimonies.

Speakers:
– Charles GERADIN – Co-founder – administrator of the Association des Métis de Belgique AMB-MVB.
– Ornella ROVETTA – Researcher in the framework of the project
“Resolution-Métis” project at the State Archives.
– Delphine LAUWERS – Researcher in the framework of the project
