Where are the women? Female figures of abstraction and Belgian surrealism
” Unlike what one might think, women were not absent from the artistic cenacles in Belgium in the twentieth century: as many figures as Irène Hamoir, Jane Graverol, Rachel Baes took part in the surrealist revolution, while Marthe Donas, Francine Holley, Mig Quinet or Hilde Van Sumere knew how to make their way within the abstract avant-garde. Through this tour, we invite you to come and meet these artists from the collection.”
