Sakife, from 28/06/22 to 28/08/22 at the BELvue museum
“Sakife is a photo-reporting project set in the provinces of North and South Kivu in the east of the Democratic Republic of Congo. It aims to highlight the roles of women in the health system, particularly in relation to the work of Dr. Mukwege, Nobel Peace Prize winner 2018. It is produced by photographer Christophe Smets and journalist Olivier Le Bussy.
The project captures snapshots of the lives of women healthcare providers, patients or victims to capture the importance of different aspects of women’s health, including sexual violence.”
